Panama
Panama is a curious but exhilarating combination of cultural influences, both colonial and tribal. Strategically located, it is the last part of a natural land-bridge between the North and South American continents, while its famed man-made Panama Canal stretching for over 65km, connects the Caribbean and the Pacific Ocean. Its glorious terrain – from jungle to white washed powder beach, and its abundance of marine and bird life, has given a newly found boost to the tourism industry of the country. Today, tourism constitutes an increasing trend of approximately 5% of the country’s GDP, with eco-friendly tourism activities taking the lead.
